Just point a small torch (I used the one in my old mobile phone) to the windows screen where it requires your password to log in and you will see slightly where is the box, click then enter your password and the windows will start then increase the brightness by using F2.

In reply to the solution in this link: Re: Graphics Driver update for Bootcamp 6.0 Issues, most curiously I found that disabling the General PnP monitor did the trick for me and got the F1-F2 Screen brightness buttons working again. This helped me a lot since I am playing PC Games that require the latest Nvidia drivers on my mid 2012 MBP (FIFA 18 + Star Wars Battlefront 2) Hope this helps someone, I know the internet is full of people reporting this problem and Apple does not seem to react... I wish you happy gaming on you MBPs!

Bootcamp Windows 10 Brightness Not Working

I recently installed the Windows 10 Preview via Bootcamp on both my 2012 iMac and 2012 MBP both with Yosemite. Both installations went fine except for the MBP's screen brightness. It will only go to about 75% brightness even though it says 100% leaving me with a pretty dim screen. The bootcamp drivers seem to be working fine because I can adjust it both up and down, it just won't get as bright as it should. If any more information is needed please let me know and I will post that info. I really need this problem fixed.

The setup I'm using right now is a MacBook Pro, using BootCamp to run Windows 10, as well as OS X. My problem is I turned down the brightness on my laptop, to the point it actually shut the screen off. The keys on my keyboard aren't working, because I haven't installed the latest version of BootCamp to support the MacBook's keys for screen brightness. I also have no remote connections set up, so I can't access the Windows side of my laptop remotely and change the settings from there.

Anyway I just did a fresh install of the latest release of Windows 10. Installed the drivers from the bootcamp image, and got the GPU drivers from nvidia. Everything runs fine except my screen brightness is at 100% and I cannot change it, and my keyboard backlight is off and I cannot change it.
